In Russia, Outdoor Ad For Banned Food ‘Hides’ Itself From The Police

Last August, Russia imposed a ban on food imports from the European Union and US in retaliation for sanctions over the Ukraine crisis.
Grocery shop Don Giulio Salumeria—selling authentic Italian food items—suffered a decline in business as people did not believe they could purchase original Italian products in Russia after the ban kicked in.
Hence, it decided to rope in agency The 23 to help advertise its goods.
What resulted was an innovative outdoor ad that would “hide” itself from police officers, by using an open source face tracking code to detect police uniforms.
