This Twitter Bot Helps You Generate Intricate Glitch Art With Any Image
By Winona Wee, 05 Aug 2015
If you love glitch art but aren’t sure how to go about creating your own, you’re in luck. Front-end developer Way Spurr-Chen has created an easy to use Twitter bot.
Simply upload a picture on Twitter and mention Pixel Sorter, and the rest will be taken care of.
To go into technicalities, the Twitter bot is written in Ruby, heavily relying on EVA-01/pxlsrt and mispy/twitter_ebooks. Basically, the bot sorts rows and columns of pixels according to attributes such as hue, red, and brightness to create different patterned glitch art.
A number of presets are available that will give your image different effects.
