‘Tesla Watch’, An Awesome Steampunk-Fashioned Analog Watch
By Winona Wee, 01 Sep 2015
The ‘Tesla Watch’ is a new chronometer by ThinkGeek that is sure to delight any steampunk fan.
For those not familiar with the term, steampunk refers to a sub-genre of science fiction that focuses on industrial steam-powered machinery. Many have referred to steampunk as Neo-Victorian in style.
This particular watch was inspired by Nikola Tesla, an inventor who is best known for his contributions to the alternating current (AC) electricity supply system.
The watch features a worn-out brass look and a leather strap. What completes the aesthetic of the watch is the two vacuum tubes with LED lights that are automated with a flick of a switch.
