‘Crayola+Pantone’ Box Concept Features Crayon Colors Inspired By Famous Artworks
By Louise Jane Cher, 02 Sep 2015
Graphic designer Esai Ramirez has reimagined the packaging design of the iconic Crayola box.
The project titled ‘Crayola+Pantone limited edition box set’, is a minimalist rendition inspired by the color schemes of famous art pieces—they include the signature blue of Yves Klein’s works, and the greenish hues of Damien Hirst’s formaldehyde tanks.
According to Ramirez, the concept design “aims to encourage creatives to play more with color.” The series is also dedicated to influential fine artists and painters.
