Man Brilliantly Responds To Haters Of Rainbow Doritos On Facebook
By Jillian Wong, 24 Sep 2015
Mike Melgaard, the man who trolled angry Target customers is back, and this time he’s taking aim at haters of Doritos’ Rainbow chips.
Observing the anti-LGBT vitriol left by customers on the Doritos Facebook page, Melgaard created a fake Doritos Facebook help account and hit back at their comments with brilliant, hilarious replies.
By using humor to call out anti-gay behavior and attitudes, Melgaard hopes to make people look at a more serious issue, which is the high suicide rate among LGBT youth who feel rejected and ostracized.
“I find it absolutely heartbreaking that these people are so narrow-minded and unaccepting of others’ views that they mistake everything as a personal attack on how they feel the world should be. I like to believe that what I am doing is productive partly because it sheds light on this type of thinking and how foolish it is. If I get even just one of these people to re-think their position, then in my eyes, I have done something good for the world,” Melgaard told The Huffington Post.
Check out his witty comebacks below and view the comments on Facebook. No word if Doritos’ parent company Frito-Lay has responded to Melgaard, but we’re hoping they follow in Target’s footsteps.
