Brilliant Self-Cleaning Jeans And Tees Are Designed To Never Stink Or Stain
By Yoon Sann Wong, 06 Jan 2016
Each year you use roughly 7,200 glasses of water to wash one pair of jeans.
Imagine significantly reducing water consumption by minimizing the number of times you need to clean your denim garments. This is what ODO Denim aims to achieve with its smart self-cleaning apparel.
ODO jeans and t-shirts have been designed to repel various liquids including water, honey, coffee and wine. Unlike traditional denim that’s prone to staining, ODO Denim incorporates “billions of microscopic peaks” on its surface to decrease the contact area between liquids and the surface of ODO Denim. As a result, spilt liquids either roll off the fabric or can be easily wiped clean.
In addition, silver-infused thread used in the jeans kills odor-producing bacteria, leaving your clothes free of any foul scents that stem from perspiration.
