Renaissance Artworks Reimagined As Wild, Cheeky Modern Day Instagram Posts

Karachi-based creative agency Serial Kolor has came up with a tongue-in-cheek series imagining renaissance-style artworks as modern-day Instagram posts.
Characters in these artworks are interpreted to be in hilarious situations—for example, some of them are shown to be taking selfies, posing with their “BFFs”, or avoiding Candy Crush requests. These come complete with hashtags like “#duckface” and “#FTW”.
Much attention has also been paid to the details of each re-interpretation. The social media snapshots have retained their color while the rest of the canvases have faded, and timestamps like “8134w” have been included to reflect each artwork’s creation more than 150 years ago.
