Leica Releases A Limited ‘Panda Edition’ Camera For The Chinese Market
By Dorothy Tan, 04 Feb 2016
Considering how massive the Chinese consumer market is, it is not surprising that German premium camera brand Leica has just released a special edition of its iconic M-P camera just for Chinese photographers.
This extremely limited edition camera has been named the “Panda Edition”, after the beloved animal that is commonly referred to as China’s national treasure—it features a black body that is highlight with white, an obvious reference to the bamboo-eating creature.
The camera is offered in two different sets, with a Leica Summicron-M 28mm f / 2 ASPH lens or Leica Summilux-M 35mm f / 1.4 ASPH lens—only 30 sets of each kind are available for sale in selected Leica stores in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Would you spend approximately US$14,000 on this camera?
