By Aqila Xiao Qi, 14 Mar 2016

Three design students at Pune, India-based MIT Institute of Design have created a quirky piece of furniture that is a hybrid of a hammock and rocking chair, creating a prototype that looks like it will fit perfectly in any home garden.
Conceptualized as part of a course challenge, students Harshita Murudkar, Shivani Gulati and Mehak Philip designed and built a prototype in just two weeks, using three different types of weaving styles that include the basic weave, trilobite and twilled weave to form an ingenious lounging piece.
