Watch: Studio Ghibli Debuts First Trailer For 2016 Animation ‘The Red Turtle’
Late last year, Studio Ghibli announced its new animated film for 2016 The Red Turtle. This will be the studio’s first release following Hayao Miyazaki’s retirement.
The Red Turtle, released internationally as La Tortue Rouge, is an 80-minute animation with almost no dialogue. The story revolves around a stranded sailor who encounters a red turtle that alters his life.
The film is set to debut at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, held from 11 to 22 May.
