Redesigned Logos Of Famous Food Brands Show How Unhealthy Their Products Are
By Dorothy Tan, 17 Jun 2016
A group of students at the School of Visual Communication, Denmark, has created a clever and though-provoking campaign for the Danish Health Authority, which brings attention to the consequences of a unhealthy lifestyle and obesity.
This print campaign involves a redesign of famous food brands’ logos to show how consuming their products can lead to health problems—while the various logos remain recognizable, the brand names have been replaced by medical conditions and diseases.
For instance, the McDonald’s logo now reads as “high blood pressure”, while the Coca-Cola one shows the words “impure skin”.
Aiming to change how people view these brands, this campaign also includes a commercial in Danish—you can watch it here.
Scroll down to see how it would look when rolled out in public spaces.
