Clever Badge Hack Enables Creatives To Show Off Their Best Work At Cannes 2016
By Yoon Sann Wong, 21 Jun 2016

Two Dutch creatives, Ramin Bahari and Mark van der Heijden, have come up with a simple but smart method to help their comrades show off their best work at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
After attending the event for several years, they noticed that when “you meet people at the festival, the first thing they look at is your badge”.
Inspired by this observation, the duo formulated ‘Portfolio Badge’–a specially designed festival badge that doubles as a little portfolio–created to fit snugly behind any Cannes Lions pass.
The idea is simple; all one has to do is visit portfoliobadge.com, download the Adobe Photoshop template, drop three visuals that represent your best work into the template, include a brief description about your works and email the completed layout to [email protected] Lastly pick up your ‘Portfolio Badge’ from the Adobe Cabana at Cannes Lions 2016.
“[P]eople can actually see your work, and you can let your work do the talking,” said van der Heijden.
At time of writing, the badge’s official partner Adobe has completed its agreed print run of 100 badges. Interested parties can still download the template but will have to print the badge on their own.
The creators expressed their interest in expanding this idea to more festivals across the globe.
