KFC’s Redesigned Branding Is Simple And Modern, Reflects Its Iconic Heritage
By Dorothy Tan, 22 Jun 2016
Like McDonald’s Golden Arches, KFC’s Colonel Sanders logo is easily recognizable all over the world.
Advertising agency FCB Chicago, in collaboration design studio GrandArmy, rebranded the famous fast food chain last year—the new visual identity is simple, modern and striking, but still reflects the company’s iconic heritage.
The redesigned branding retains the use of KFC’s signature colors of red, black and white—however, it features bold new typography that injects a more contemporary style into its visual language.
In line with the flat design trend, the logo has been simplified to a line illustration and appear only in black and white.
The rebranding has been applied to all marketing materials, packaging, storefront and interior design—you can watch a commercial featuring the refreshed identity here.
