Ad School Tries To Tackle Cyberbullying With Unexpected Help From Commercials

Cyberbullying has become increasingly prevalent on social media, making ugly comments almost impossible to avoid on the web.
The Miami Ad School in New York has come up with an idea to minimize such bullying with a proposed initiative called the ‘YouTube TimeOut’.
With this system in place, YouTube users who have been reported for harassment or bullying will be given a ‘TimeOut’ for a limited period and forbidden from skipping pre-roll ads.
It’s encouraging to see the ad school think up ways to take action against cyberbullying and transform people’s aversion to ads into something positive.
