To avoid looking bigger than you actually are, pay attention to the focal length of your camera lens.
This is the main take-away from this series of striking portraits taken by photographer Dan Vojtech. Each photo was taken using a different focal length, illustrating the minor but perceptible difference it makes to the shape of a subject’s face.
For portraits, it’s recommended for photographers to use a focal range of 85mm to 135mm to get the best representation of the human face.
