Stunning Paint-In-Water Photos Featuring PANTONE's ‘Rose Quartz’ And ‘Serenity’
By Chloe Pek, 20 Sep 2016
Paint has long been an essential tool to create art, and we tend not to pay attention to its form other than the masterpieces it helps to create.
Putting it in the spotlight, however, can yield unexpected results. In Neal Grundy’s ‘Serenity’ series, the photographer focuses on the beauty of paint reacting in water using Pantone’s Rose Quartz and Serenity.
The result is a series of atmospheric images featuring surrealistic sculptures of paint.
For the project, Grundy sought to “capture contrasts with the modern world…through the movement of paint in water.”
Contrasting the fluidity of the paint against a stark background, the images evoke a sense of peace, tranquility, and harmony.
Take a look at pieces from ‘Serenity’ below, and head over here for the full collection.
