Artist Recreates Posters Of Wes Anderson Cult Films And More With Iconic Props
By Chloe Pek, 10 Nov 2016
Inspired by the ‘Museum of Broken Relationships’, photographic artist Jordan Bolton paid tribute to Wes Anderson cult classics such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Her, Pulp Fiction and more by creating a series of posters featuring iconic items.
Titled ‘Objects’, the posters are elaborate arrangements of objects that feed into the narrative of the films. The aesthetics of each movie is reflected through Bolton's choice of items, colors, and arrangement.
Each poster takes about two to three weeks to complete, with him sourcing and making “upwards of 100 [life-sized] objects” for every piece.
It depends on the nature of the poster, however, as Bolton shares that his Carol poster “took around a month in order to get the arrangement right”.
The project is definitely an interesting approach to appreciating film, shining the spotlight on minute details in movies that tend to be overlooked.
Check out his posters below and head here for more.
