Whimsical Lights Come To Life And Transform Into Animals When Switched On
Award-winning designer Chen Bikovski took inspiration from children’s pop-up books to create a collection of contemporary lamps, titled ‘Popup Lighting’, that would “bring a magical ambiance to any space.”
She explains on the Popup Lighting website, “Since I was a child, I was fascinated by pop-up books. I loved how the story came to life, how the books created a fantasy world that flew off the page. The magic, the excitement, the naiveté.”
The two available designs—a deer and a peacock—look like origami animals. Once illuminated, the animals come to live, revealing a pair of antlers and the plumage of a peacock.
