Watch: What Living In A Crazy-Small Tokyo Apartment Is Like
By Dorothy Tan, 14 Feb 2017

Some people view living in a tiny New York City apartment as a rite of passage in the famously expensive city—however, even for these hardened small homers, eight square meters may still be much too small.
Youtuber Emma, who is also known as ‘Tokidoki Traveller’, lives in an apartment of that incredible size in Tokyo, Japan, another city that is known for its high real estate prices and small homes.
In a recent episode of YouTube show ‘Living Big In A Tiny House’, she gave a tour of her minuscule Japanese abode—the loft-style apartment is so narrow that Emma is not able to stretch out her arms fully before touching both walls.
On the other hand, the high ceiling of the apartment prevented it from feeling claustrophobic—clever storage solutions and careful editing of her possessions also allow Emma to work, eat and rest comfortably in this tiny home.
Watch the video below for a tour of this really, really small apartment—would you live in a place like this?
