By Hannah Sofea, 01 Mar 2017
Adam Savage dropped by Weta Workshop where he was given the privilege to get an inside scoop on the art of constructing the robot geishas featured in upcoming movie Ghost in the Shell, touted to be one of the 30 most anticipated movies in 2017.
Known for its projects like Mad Max: Fury Road’s ‘bogans’ as well as intricate props and costumes in The Hobbit Trilogy, it is of no surprise that Weta is behind the magic of Ghost in the Shell’s prominent robot geishas.
Weta’s Creative Director Richard Taylor guides an enthusiastic Savage through the process; design, mechanics and animatronics of the mask, alongside the anatomy of the machines.
