Jenny Parks, the magic hands behind superheroes as cats, returns with much cuter collections.
Netflix’s original series Stranger Things has been transformed into kitty purr-fection for Parks’ latest collection, along with renowned science fiction franchises Star Wars and Star Trek.
She reimagines the intimidating signature stare of ‘Eleven’, as well as the chubby face and frizzy hair of ‘Dustin’ from Stranger Things, while Star Wars’s ‘BB-8’ and badass ‘Rey’ get modified into adorable furballs.
“It’s funny because it’s done seriously, if that makes sense”, said Parks regarding her Star Trek collection. “The cats are always cats. I try not to anthropomorphize them too much.”
Parks’ fusion of famous film characters and cats began in high school, when her art teacher pushed Park to do what she knows best. She graduated from the University of California-Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in a prestigious scientific illustration program.
The artist recently released a book following the success of her adorable and creative feline Star Trek characters.
