If you’re often confused by the instructions on IKEA’s manuals, and your furniture ends up looking like abstract display art pieces, perhaps it’s time to simplify—and beautify—things by getting some artwork instead. In fact, artwork has been proven to affect productivity levels significantly.
The Swedish company known for its clever home solutions will be launching ‘ART EVENT 2017’—a limited edition collection showcasing posters drawn by 12 internationally-loved artists—in April 2017, so clear your walls.
Henrik Most–the Creative Leader for ‘ART EVENT 2017’—says, “We have a very strong and simple vision about art at IKEA, and it’s that art should be affordable—it should be accessible for the many people—and also that art belongs in the home, not just in galleries or museums.”
Feast your eyes on some of the eye-catching artwork below, and in future, your own home. Visit IKEA’s here to learn more.

There’s a lot going on in this piece, which the Japanese artist credits to the “constant flow of ideas popping up in my head, one after another. The poster and the skull itself represent these concepts.”

‘Naive Suave’ is an imaginary band poster that waxes lyrical to its homeowner’s eyes. Its artist says, “Alternative music and the various subcultures around it have always intrigued me. This has led to a series of drawings around imaginary bands, expanding from my long-time fascination with band names and the almost mythical power of them.”
