Designers Send Each Other Love Letters On Custom-Made Typographic Postcards
By Dorothy Tan, 27 Mar 2017
Even when it comes to romance, you can expect designers to do things more creatively.
Designers Nei Valente and Kate Cullinane have been dating in New York City for four months before the former had to return to Brazil for a year—to keep in touch, the duo came up with a postcard project title ‘Posting Letters: New York x São Paulo’.
Not content to simply exchange regular love letters, Valente and Cullinane decided to photograph letters they found on the streets of their respective cities, and turning these typographic images into special, custom-made postcards.
The postcards were sent out in alphabetical order—at the end of the project, they turned these striking postcards, and the intimate words written on their backs, into a unique A-Z poster.
