Designers’ Wedding Invitation Is An A-Z Book Of Clever Typographic Illustrations
By Dorothy Tan, 19 Apr 2017

A few years ago, when graphic designers Ander and Maria—founders of Spanish studio La caja de tipos—were preparing for their wedding, they felt pressured to create an outstanding invitation due to their profession.
In the end, they came up with the brilliant solution to create an alphabet book that would show guests what they can expect to see at the wedding—each letter would represent a related Spanish word.
In their words, the book is essentially a “catalog of small typographic games”, where every letter has been carefully designed as a creative typographic illustration to reflect the thing that they stand for.
For instance, a wine glass is embedded in the letter ‘B’ to represent “Toast”, while the letter ‘G’ has been made to look like a balloon.
