Poignant Short Comics That Illustrate Struggles Of Depression, Mental Illness
By Dorothy Tan, 19 Apr 2017

Illustrator Skye Ali started making comics about her experience with depression in 2014—she shared them online, and soon started receiving heartfelt messages from strangers all over the world who related to her art.
She recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for a book—titled For When You Can't Sleep At Night—that would collect these poignant comics of hers.
In addition to 15 comics that have already been published on her blog, she would also be creating never-before-seen comics to be included in this new book.
According to her, “All of the comics will revolve around [her] personal experiences with depression, self-care, the stigma surrounding mental illness, seeking professional help, sharing with (or keeping things from) friends and family, hopelessness, grief, and anxiety.”
Take a look at some of the comics that would be published in For When You Can't Sleep At Night on its Kickstarter page—pledges start from US$10 for an ebook and US$25 for a physical copy.
