Ever sat inside a noisy café only to wish that you could drown out the sound to concentrate on work? Or how about tuning out the incessant nagging of another party?
Thanks to a Dutch startup, this could soon be made possible. ‘Knops’ is a novel adjustable earplug that lets its wearer regulate the volume of noises from the real world.
The gadget is brainchild of four founders: leading engineer Arjen; musicians-cum-entrepreneurs Quinten and Koen; product designer Richard.
Hear what you want to hear via the device’s four-step knob. Step one lets you hear as per normal–as though you aren’t even wearing the plugs, step two eliminates the noise of a vibrant city, step three tweaks the volume to a live music setting, and step four creates a tranquil, silent environment that’s perfect for work.
‘Knops’ will be available in various colors and trims–with material options ranging from black or white gramaphone, stainless steel or gold-plated ring material, and smooth or knurling.
Knops is now available on The Bazaar in various colors.
