Photographer Imagines Full Moon Getting Swapped In Amazing Conceptual Shoot
By Yoon Sann Wong, 30 May 2017
You might already think this concept photo by Erik Johansson to be quite creative, but wait till you see the behind-the-scenes video below on how it was meticulously put together.
The image, titled ‘Full Moon Service’, shows a duo replacing the full moon to sustain the lunar phases. Johansson explains inside the video’s description that the photo shoot took place “in late summer of 2016 [during] a beautiful calm evening in the middle of Sweden.”
“I brought out a bunch of rice lamps, light bulbs, an electric generator, a car and two models out in a field. In this 3-minute video you can see the process of making it come to life from sketch, shooting to final composition.”
“All material was photographed, retouched and filmed by me except for free moon textures. [The image was] shot on [a] Hasselblad H6D-50c, [and] retouched in Photoshop CC 2017. [The video was] filmed mostly on a GoPro and iPhone.”
‘Full Moon Service’ is available for purchase online as a fine art print via Johansson’s website.
