Nutella Rolls Out 7 Million Jars Wrapped In Gorgeous, One-Of-A-Kind Patterns
By Yoon Sann Wong, 01 Jun 2017

After four years of individualizing its jars through words, Nutella has decided to do something different; make each packaging unique via a distinctive design.
With the help of Ogilvy & Mather Italy, seven million Nutella jars were made, each donned in a one-of-a-kind label. The packaging design for the ‘Nutella Unica’ series was brought to life using an algorithm that combined colors and patterns to create millions of dissimilar arrangements.
In February this year, ‘Nutella Unica’ jars were distributed across Italy. With little surprise, the range sold out within a month. The Ferrero-owned hazelnut spread is planning to implement the project in other countries within Europe, the Middle East and Africa, starting with France.
See more fun designs in the campaign video below. Do you hope to see ‘Nutella Unica’ come to your country?
