‘Coffee’, ‘Deceit’ And Other Real Words That Are Also CSS Colors
By Kylie Woon, 15 Jun 2017
In case you were wondering, there is a list of all the English words that double as CSS colors. #Coffee Is The Color is a catalogue of words that only use the letters A, B, C, D, E and F, and therefore have a corresponding hue.
The collection also includes an extended list of words containing the numbers 0,1,5, and 7, which represent the letters O, I, S and T respectively in leetspeak, an informal internet-based language. For example, ‘EFFECT’ would be represented as ‘EFFEC7’ in code form.
‘Defeat’ is lime green, while ‘toffee’ is turquoise. The site even lets you copy the codes to your clipboard.
Check out the entire list here.
