Ogilvy Playfully Completes Lower Half Of Famed Artworks In Prizewinning Campaign
By Yoon Sann Wong, 21 Jun 2017

‘Portraits Completed’—a campaign by Ogilvy Chicago for shoe polish brand Kiwi has won big at this year’s Cannes festival.
The agency imagined, and completed the bottom half of famous paintings to reveal the subjects’ shoes. Ogilvy Chicago not only organized an exhibition of the “completed” artworks, but also offered an audio tour that cleverly weaved the Kiwi brand into narratives that covered real art history. The ad agency further partnered with a museum app that translated the experience into augmented reality.
In all, ‘Portraits Completed’ bagged a gold Lion and a bronze Lion in ‘Print & Publishing’, as well as a silver Lion and two Bronze Lions in ‘Outdoor’.
