This DHL Branding Redesign Concept Uses Arrows To Make A Strong Statement
By Dorothy Tan, 29 Aug 2017
The Fedex logo is iconic for the hidden arrow in it—this DHL rebranding concept seems to have been inspired by this famous logo design.
Created by Portuguese designer Pedro Almeida—who also made these clever minimal logos—this concept identity design retains the German logistics company’s well-known red and yellow color scheme.
However, he has replaced the triple strokes that are part of the original logo—probably to represent speed—with a connected line of arrows. According to the designer, the arrow reflects “delivery transportation” while the solid line refers to “movement power”.
This graphic element also appears to refer to how “something is coming your way”, as the line snakes from point A to point B.
