If you’re torn between the baggy low-rise jean trend of 2000 and today’s mom jeans, you can finally kill two birds with one stone and wear both looks.
The slang, ‘extra’, first became viral in 2017. The term means to “go up and beyond for unnecessary reasons”—and it seems to be the trend for this year. Last week, a confusing US$2,000 bare-torso sweater was sold out a little too quickly. Now, a pair of jeans costing US$695 has made the news for sporting both high and low waist openings.
Created by London-based designer Natasha Zinko, the ‘High Waist Double Jeans’ are meant to pull you through your highs and lows—except they’re already sold out.
The unavailability of these jeans could be unfortunate news for people who are conscious about their bum cracks being exposed, but the concept offers a possible solution for your insecurities. Putting on two pairs of jeans might do the trick—plus it costs about 10 times less.
