Windows Store Rebranded As Microsoft Store With A New Logo
By Izza Sofia, 25 Sep 2017
Microsoft is rebranding its Windows Store to the Microsoft Store.
The software maker is rolling out a new update to Windows 10 testers on the Release Preview ring that includes the name and logo change.
The store will take up the Microsoft name, and Windows 10 users will also notice that the task bar icon for the store has been changed into a shopping bag accompanied by the Microsoft’s company logo.
Microsoft has not officially unveiled this new branding, but the Microsoft Store naming is identical to the company’s online and brick-and-mortar stores. This alignment could hint that Microsoft may plan to offer more than just apps, games, music, and video content in its Windows 10 store.
