Japanese web designer and typographer Nozaki Azusa is behind this collection of quirky and bold experimental Japanese typography. The pictorial-styled graphics feature Kanji characters that come to life as unique designs through the use of geometry and color.
Each creation conveys the word’s meaning inside its design. For instance, Nozaki communicates the visuals of noodles for the word “ramen”—shown above—that is traditionally written as “拉麺”.
