A Minimal Graphic Design Portfolio Titled ‘I’m Not A Graphic Designer’
By Dorothy Tan, 17 Oct 2017
Sometimes, the best way to stand out is to keep things simple—and unexpected.
While many graphic designers try to grab the attention of potential clients and employers with flashy portfolios that have the wow factor, media design student Robert Gray has gone the other way. His graphic design portfolio is very minimalist, and uses only one color—coral—as an accent.
However, the most intriguing element of this project, which is most likely to catch the eye of hirers, is the title printed on the cover of his portfolio—its reads, “I’m Not A Graphic Designer.”
It is refreshing—and definitely tongue-in-cheek—to see someone make that statement when everyone else is trying their hardest to show that not only are they graphic designers, but very good ones as well.
