AIGA’s Beautifully Made New Magazine Is Designed By Designers For Designers

Just as you thought that print is dead, AIGA is bringing their popular website ‘Eye on Design’ to the real world with a gorgeous new magazine.
According to the team behind this new venture, the Eye on Design magazine is meant to focus on “exciting designers and the issues they care about,” so you can expect explorations of “topics like mental health, sexuality, education, and gender disparity through a design lens.”
Each issue of the magazine would be guided by a central themed and designed by a surprise guest designer—according to senior editor Meg Miller, they want to invite designers to use their magazine as a “testing ground” for their ideas.
The pilot issue—printed in partnership with Paper Chase Press—would feature a reported piece on depression and design and a three-part exploration of high-design erotica, among other articles that are written with designers and creatives in mind.
