Flowers, Powdered Kale, Strange Things Whole Foods Predicts We’ll Eat In 2018
By Dorothy Tan, 14 Nov 2017
Millennial-friendly grocery store chain Whole Foods recently released a report that forecasts the food trends that it think would go big in 2018—and quite a number of them are rather unexpected and odd.
For instance, mushroom is set to become a popular food for boosting wellness, and you would likely see it popping up in your coffee, chocolate, tea, and even body and hair care products.
In a similar fashion, flowers would likely be a significant influence on beverage trends, as blooms such as hibiscus and rose start infusing sodas and teas to lend their sweet, botanical flavors.
Other items on Whole Foods’ list of potential 2018 food trends include super powders, high-tech plant foods, puffed and popped snacks and unconventional tacos.
