Starbucks Debuts ‘New World Of Matcha’ With ‘Green Tea Cheese Frappuccino’
By Izza Sofia, 27 Dec 2017

Starbucks is bringing some bold matcha flavor drinks to Japan.
The first green goodness is the ‘Matcha & Fruity Mascarpone Frappuccino’. Starbucks took the unprecedented step of releasing Matcha tea and mascarpone together, combining cheese flavors and green tea in one beverage. It has blended raisins added to its matcha base and comes topped with matcha-infused whipped cream.
The second beverage is the ‘Matcha Fruity Blend Tea Latte’. The drink is made up of green tea, milk and almond paste. It also features two types of Japanese citrus fruits (yuzu and kabosu) and Japanese mustard spinach. Starbucks fuses the matcha with fruits, nuts, and vegetables, completed with a topping of matcha chocolate shavings to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings.
Prices start at JP¥430 (US$3.80) for a short ‘Matcha Fruity Blend Tea Latte’ and JP¥580 (US$5) for a tall ‘Matcha & Fruity Mascarpone Frappuccino’ at all Starbucks Japan.
