IKEA Cleverly Hides Pregnancy Test Inside An Ad For Its ‘Sundvik’ Crib

IKEA is offering a discount to couples moving into a new phase of their lives: having a baby. The catch is, the mother has to pee on the ad to receive the product promotion.
Conceived by Swedish agency Åkestam Holst in collaboration with Mercene Labs, the ad shows an image of its ‘Sundvik’ crib and its retail price with the text: “Peeing on this ad may change your life. This ad is also a pregnancy test. Pee on the marked area and wait a moment. If you are expecting, you will get a surprise right here in the ad.”
There is a strip on the ad at the bottom made of similar material found in at-home pregnancy tests, and urinating on it will reveal a special lowered price on the ‘Sundvik’ crib model.
