Apple imagines that the iPad Pro might one day influence the extinction of laptops, though it probably won’t replace the MacBook.
With that being said, a new and improved iPad Pro could be unleashed in 2018. Filipe Espósito, an Editor-in-Chief at Apple-related news site iHelpBR, has shared a screenshot showing a string of multiple codes in iOS 11.3 that cite a “Modern” iPad.
The image might send enthusiasts’ pulses racing, since early iOS 11 betas referred to the yet-to-be-released iPhone X as a “Modern” iPhone.
Speculations of a new iPad with a redesign that resembles iPhone X surfaced in November last year. If the rumors turn out to be true, the upcoming iPad Pro will feature Face ID and not have a home button.
It is also said to be the same size as the current 10.5-inch iPad Pro, though it will sport slimmer bezels for a larger display.
Yep, there’s definitely some references to a “Modern iPad” inside iOS 11.3. pic.twitter.com/JHHone2R1D— Filipe Espósito (@filipekids) January 25, 2018
"Modern iPhone" meant iPhone X. "Modern iPad" is probably an iPad with Face ID https://t.co/pbMAMj3QCe— Guilherme Rambo (@_inside) January 25, 2018
