Designers, How To Present Logos & Identity Projects More Effectively To Clients
By Yoon Sann Wong, 14 Mar 2018
“If the logo is the product, the presentation is the packaging.”
Hitting the mark for a client’s logo design or identity project is important, but the other vital side of the coin is selling the visuals to the client.
Seeing as how some designers struggle with this aspect, Ben Burns, the Digital Director at brand strategy consultancy agency Blind, shares useful tips on how to present your work more effectively to clients on Blind’s educational platform The Futur.
Burns touches on common greenhorn mistakes, such as sending the client 15 logo options to choose from over email, and communication tips to ensure that your client remains on the same page as you throughout the presentation.
Some noteworthy points include recommended mediums through which the pitch should be presented—the best is always face-to-face, with over-the-phone being the next best option—useful apps such as Keynote that can help support your presentation, and the ideal number of logo options to present to your client.
