Aldo Receives Vibrant, Stylish Rebrand And First Website Redesign In Ten Years
By Izza Sofia, 20 Mar 2018
Footwear retailer Aldo has unveiled a new visual identity made in collaboration with design company Collins, which has worked with other major brands such as Airbnb and Nike Jordan.
The new identity strives to transform the public perception of Aldo into one of a premium brand, and push it away from discount retail.
This includes a bolder, more refined logotype for the brand. The new packaging now sports a pastel color palette emblazoned with Aldo’s bold font. Collins also gives the in-store imagery and advertising campaigns a more upscale and sophisticated look.
Aldo’s new collage-like visual aesthetic that features models from various angles differs from its usual advertisements, and was shot by celebrated photographer Julia Noni.
The revamp succeeds Aldo’s first website redesign in ten years. Its makeover includes touch screens in shops, where customers can easily browse for items according to size and stock numbers, as well as a better payment system.
