Designer Creates ‘Ultimate’ Garment Made Of Seven T-Shirts That Costs US$419
By Izza Sofia, 28 Mar 2018
Designer Preston Douglas’ latest garment is quite a head-turner.
Sick of being pressured to make something inexpensive for streetwear culture, Douglas decided to make this oversized t-shirt as part of his ‘Disintegration’ collection.
PAPER magazine reported that Douglas had gathered tees ranging from sizes 4XL to XS, before stitching them together to create the unconventional apparel. The design sees multiple t-shirts hanging off the wearer to offer a “grim and powerful” silhouette.
Douglas said that some people might feel inclined to be a part of a brand, but do not have the financial capabilities to do so. Hence, they settle for a basic t-shirt instead. The designer decided to take a stand by making a t-shirt that packs a punch.
This seven-layer garment, however, will cost you US$419. It comes in blue or green.
