Heinz Is Letting You Vote On Its ‘Mayochup’ Condiment Release In The US
By Yoon Sann Wong, 13 Apr 2018
Two days ago, DesignTAXI featured Heinz’s confusing ‘Mayochup’ condiment that seems to be available only in Kuwait at present.
This, however, could change depending on how Heinz’s current poll goes. The brand launched this on Wednesday via its Twitter account, inviting customers to declare their say on whether ‘Mayochup’—a fusion of mayonnaise and ketchup—should be brought to the US.
“Want #mayochup in stores? 500,000 votes for ‘yes’ and we’ll release it to you saucy Americans,” writes the brand inside the tweet below.
Though some might be unfamiliar with ‘Mayochup’, this condiment combination is not new and has been around for a long time, though more commonly known as ‘Fry Sauce’ that’s popular in Utah, Idaho and Oregon. Some also believe that McDonald’s ‘Big Mac’ sauce is created using ketchup and mayonnaise, ingredients similarly mixed to create Russian dressing.
Nevertheless, if you’d like a handy bottle of ketchup-mayonnaise fusion, there’s still two days left to indicate your choice via the poll below.
At time of writing, a total of 684,329 votes have been entered, of which 55 percent chose yay and 45 percent went for nay.

Been making it for years. But we call it fry sauce. You can also buy it from other companies in the west (I know Utah for sure) I think fry sauce is a better name— HlBRlD (@HlBRlD) April 11, 2018
