There are only a few rivalries as iconic as the one between Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Every cola drinker has sworn their alliance to either one of the brands; there’s simply no in-between.
Bringing more fizz to the competition is Pepsi, which recently launched a campaign for its sugar-free ‘Pepsi Max’ variation.
Spotted by copywriter and Twitter user Vikki Ross, Pepsi’s ad reads, “Too much taste to call ourselves a zero.”
The slogan mocks the name of Coca-Cola’s no-sugar beverage, ‘Coca-Cola Zero Sugar’ or ‘Coke Zero’. At the same time, it justifies why ‘Pepsi Max’ is so-called.
Hopefully, there’s enough sweetener in Diet Coke for the brand to take the joke well.
