Red ‘Hydrogen One’ Smartphone Is Coming With Holographic Display Like No Other
By Izza Sofia, 18 May 2018
AT&T and Verizon have announced that they will be carrying the much anticipated Red ‘Hydrogen One’.
The enigmatic phone is said to be one of the most expensive ever launched. While the gadget runs on Snapdragon 835 and is a little behind in the specs race, its display is a different story because it touts four-view, also known as 4V for short.
The holographic display is said to be “better than 3D” and does not require any special glasses for viewing. In 4V mode, the phone’s screen will dim and images will appear projected from the phone.
Red says that customers are not able to experience the display over the internet as it is not equipped with the holographic tech. Those who have viewed it in person however, have apparently responded with “gasps, swears, or just grins.”
The phone will be retailing for US$1,295 for the standard aluminium model. The titanium phone will set you back for US$1,595.
