People and brands are increasingly embracing other cultures and incorporating these unique nuances into their own styles.
PANTONE honors this growing “cross cultural fertilization” in one of its forecasts for Spring and Summer 2019. The seven-color palette, aptly named ‘New Native’, makes its appearance in the pages of ‘The Play Issue’ in the VIEWPOINT COLOUR magazine.
“As people today move through life, they adopt and blend other cultures with their own,” the color behemoth describes. “The result is a design direction that celebrates mixed influences and cross cultural fertilization… a montage of influences: old and new, traditional and experimental, synthetic and organic.”
