Domino’s Is Now Fixing Potholes To Ensure Your Pizza Has A Smoother Delivery
By Izza Sofia, 13 Jun 2018
Potholes make drivers miserable.
If your commute home is filled with them, you might be thankful to hear that a company is out to fix this issue. And it’s not just any company, it’s a pizza company.
Domino’s has announced its ‘Paving for Pizza’ promotion, which allows customers to nominate towns for pothole repair at pavingforpizza.com.
The company emphasized that poor road conditions can put a freshly-made pizza at risk after they are out for delivery. This movement is to ensure that its pizzas receive a smooth delivery to the hands of its customers.
Russell Weiner, President of Domino’s USA, asked, “Have you ever hit a pothole and instantly cringed? We know that feeling is heightened when you’re bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino’s store. We don't want to lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal. Domino’s cares too much about its customers and pizza to let that happen.”
Thus far, Domino’s has worked with Bartonville, Texas, Milford, Delaware, Athens, Georgia, and Burbank, California to solve their pothole issues.
Customers who wish to nominate their town can enter the zip code at pavingforpizza.com They will then receive a notification when the town is selected for repairs.
To celebrate smooth roads, Domino’s is offering large three-topping pizzas at US$8 each that you can order though its website, in-stores or over the phone.
