World’s First Eye Language That Allows Paralyzed To ‘Speak’ Wins At Cannes Lions
By Yoon Sann Wong, 19 Jun 2018
TBWA India’s ‘Blink To Speak’ campaign has bagged the ‘Lions Health Grand Prix For Good’ at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Paralyzed patients with alert minds suffering from fatal disorders such as ALS and spinal cord injuries face a major battle when it comes to communication. In these cases, basic methods become wearisome. While high tech tools provide assistance, many find such solutions unaffordable for aid.
As a result, the agency came up with ‘Blink To Speak’, the world’s first eye language made in partnership with Asha EK Hope Foundation and NeuroGen Brain & Spine Institute.
Through 50 simple eye movements and eight alphabets, paralyzed patients can now communicate their emotions, needs, and desires to loved ones and caretakers.
