As William Shakespeare famously said, “All of life is a stage.” Could everyone just be living in one elaborate movie that is life?
The New Yorker magazine recently featured Brooklyn artist Sofia Warren’s blockbuster-worthy illustration for one of its daily cartoons.
The image is a twist on the poster of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 hit thriller film, Jaws, and features President Trump wading in a body of water, unaware of the great white shark lurking beneath.
Above, the iconic Jaws logo is replaced with, “Laws.”
An Instagram user comments on Warren’s post, “I’ve never rooted for the shark more.”
“Laws or jaws… will cut you in pieces,” says a Facebook user on The New Yorker magazine’s page.
The Trump administration has been making a number of risky decisions of late. A few days ago, it was reportedly in talks of holding a second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un in New York City, following news and surfacings of satellite images that suggest the country is secretly increasing nuclear production.
The magazine was also outspoken about Trump’s now-withdrawn policy that saw the separation of immigrant family members, and illustrated young children cowering behind the drapes of ‘Lady Liberty’, a symbol of freedom.
